Dear Friends of Susie and Camp Seneca Lake,
Twenty years ago, we lost my sister, Susie Goldstein Sands.
While the years have passed, her warmth, kindness, boundless energy, and deep love for Camp Seneca Lake continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Susie cherished every summer she spent at camp as a camper, counselor, and Pool Head. She found so much joy in creating moments of connection, laughter, and friendship for those around her.
For Susie, Camp Seneca Lake was never simply a place she attended each summer. It was her home away from home, where she discovered who she was, built lifelong friendships, and found a profound sense of belonging within the Jewish community she loved so deeply.
As we approach the anniversary of Susie’s passing, our family has found ourselves reflecting on all that camp meant to her and all that she continues to mean to the Camp Seneca Lake community.
As we remember Susie this week, we invite you to honor her memory with a gift to Susie’s Fund.
Every contribution, large or small, helps carry forward the values that Susie lived every day: kindness, friendship, inclusion, community, and creating a place where every camper feels they belong.
Whether you knew Susie personally, shared summers with her at Camp Seneca Lake, or simply understand the lifelong impact camp can have on a child, we hope you’ll consider making a donation in her memory.
Together, we can ensure that future generations continue to find the same love, laughter, confidence, and sense of belonging that Camp Seneca Lake gave so generously to Susie, and that she, in turn, shared with so many others.
Thank you for helping keep Susie’s spirit alive.
With love and gratitude,
Leslie Roos & Family
